Wabash College senior guard
Jack Davidson became only the second player in Little Giant basketball history to score more than 2,000 career points. He picked up his 2,000
th point in the second half of a 96-70 Wabash victory over DePauw Wednesday evening at Chadwick Court.

Davidson finished the game with 23 points to lead all scorers. But his biggest basket of the night came with 12:27 left to play in the second half when he took a step to his left and drilled a long-range three-point basket. The bucket was his 21
st point of the game and put him over the 2,000-point mark with 2,002 career points. He joins Josh Estelle '00 as the only Wabash players to score 2,000 points. Davidson ended the evening with 2,004 career points. Estelle is the all-time scoring leader in Little Giant history with 2,065 points.

Wabash (12-3, 7-1 NCAC) jumped out to an early 5-0 lead over the visiting Tigers (5-8, 2-5 NCAC) and never looked back.
Ahmoni Jones nailed an opening three-point basket followed by two free throws. DePauw stayed within four points over the first five minutes before
Tyler Watson scored back-to-back baskets, including a three-point shot, to stretch the lead to seven points at 14-7.

The Tigers cut the lead to three points twice over the next five minutes until
Kellen Schreiber scored a layup and
Edreece Redmond added a three-point jumper to put Wabash in front 27-19. Jones gave Wabash a 10-point lead less than a minute remaining in the half before DePauw trimmed the advantage to seven at 43-36 at the break.

The Little Giants poured It on in the second half, outscoring DePauw 53-34 in the final 20 minutes of play. Wabash shot 18-of-30 from the field in the second half and 7-of-14 from three-point range while holding the Tigers scoreless from behind the arc on seven attempts. DePauw shot 10-of-30 from the field in the final period overall. Davidson scored 16 of his 23 points in the final period while shooting 4-of-6 from the field and 4-of-5 from three-point range.

Wabash put five players into double figures in scoring. Jones finished with 19 points and grabbed six rebounds. Davidson added six boards, as well. Watson scored 13 points, Redmond picked up 12 points, and Schreiber added 11 points.

Wabash shot 56.3 percent from the field for the game, connecting on 36-of-64 shot attempts. The Little Giants went 12-of-29 from three-point range and made 12-of-14 free throws. DePauw shot 39 percent from the field (23-of-59) and only 14-percent from three-point range (2-of-14). The Tigers shot 22-of-27 from the free throw line for 81.5 percent. Nolan Niego led DePauw with 22 points and six rebounds.

Wabash is currently scheduled to play at Wittenberg University on Wednesday, January 26 before a weekend doubleheader against Denison and Wooster on Saturday, January 29, and Sunday, January 30.
