CRAWFORDSVILLE, IN -- Wabash fired 17 shots and seven shots on goal in Tuesday evening's home North Coast Athletic Conference matchup versus Denison. The Little Giants were unable to find the back of the net in a 2-0 loss to the visiting Big Red.
Wabash dropped to 9-4-1 overall and 2-2-0 in NCAC action following the loss.
How it Happened
Denison (7-2-3, 2-0-1 NCAC) scored in the 18th minute on a rebound shot by Niko Argyros to take a 1-0 lead. The Big Red added a second goal in the 43rd minute on a header by Rohan Tripathy off a corner restart by Luke Mattessich. Soren Russell led Wabash with four saves in goal. The Little Giants outshot Denison 17-14 and put seven shots on goal compared to six for the Big Red.
