The Wabash College volleyball team evened its season record at 2-2 with a 3-0 victory Tuesday evening at Millikin University.
Wabash took the three-set win by scores of 25-19, 25-15, 25-16. The Little Giants a 2-0 lead in the first set and never trailed the remainder of the night. Wabash held a 5-1 lead before Millikin (0-4) began to match the Little Giants' scoring. The Big Blue eventually tied the score at 18-18 in the opening set before
Luke Davis scored on e of his seven kills to start a four-point run for Wabash.
The Little Giants took a 3-0 lead in the second set on the way to the 25-15 win.
Zachary Small turned in three service aces in the set to help the Little Giants to the overall 2-0 lead in the match.
Wabash once again scored a 3-0 lead in the final set. Small turned in four kills and eight assists in the last set.
Ricky Sessions scored four kills in the first set and finished the match with 10. Davis and
Carson Meadors added seven kills apiece. Davis also recorded a team-high eight digs in the match.
Will Beikes put up 22 assists while playing in only two sets for Wabash .
Evan Nichols finished the night with a .750 attack percentage with six kills in eight total attempts.
The Little Giants will compete at Dominican University on Tuesday, February 8.
