Wabash put up three first-half goals in Wednesday evening's home lacrosse game versus Alma College. The Little Giants could not add to their total in the second half in an 18-3 loss to the visiting Scots.
 
Wabash (2-1) got a first-period goal from Joseph Plencner on an assist from Caulin Fitzgerald after Alma (2-1) had scored three goals to open the contest. Tanner Simmons picked up his fourth goal of the season to open the second period. Plencner added his sixth goal of the year two minutes later to cut the Alma lead to 6-3. The Scots closed the half with three goals and added nine more in the final 30 minutes to claim the victory.
 
Plencner led the offense with six shots on goal out of nine total shot attempts.  Starting goalkeeper Matthew Hendrick recorded 17 saves and scooped up a team-high nine ground balls. Cody Bevelhimer, Evan Schiefelbein, and Simmons each recorded two caused turnovers. Luka DiFilippo won 12 faceoffs for the Little Giants.
 
Wabash will face Concordia University – Chicago Saturday at home at 11 a.m.
