Wabash won its 12th consecutive basketball game of the season Saturday afternoon with a 104-89 home victory over the Allegheny College Gators. The victory keeps the Little Giants in first place in the North Coast Athletic Conference standings.

Wabash (16-3, 11-1 NCAC) had four players finish with double-figure points in scoring. Senior guard
Jack Davidson led the way with 29 points. He also tallied a game-high eight assists, matching his career single-game best number. Davidson also snared seven rebounds.

Kellen Schreiber recorded his second double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Tyler Watson scored 23 points.
Ahmoni Jones finished with 20 points.

The 12-game winning streak is the longest by a Wabash team since the Little Giants won 11 consecutive games during the 2018-19 campaign. The longest winning streak in Wabash basketball history is 19 games held by the 1981-82 Little Giant NCAA Division III national championship team to close out their title run.

Allegheny (6-10, 4-6 NCAC) jumped out to the early lead in Saturday's contest with a 5-2 advantage in the first three minutes. The Little Giants responded with an 11-2 run over the next two minutes to move in front 13-7. Wabash held the lead for the remainder of the game, eventually leading by as many as 27 points at 82-55 with 11:14 left in the game. The visiting Gators trimmed the Wabash advantage to as few as 11 points at 91-80 with five minutes left on the clock but would draw no closer.

Wabash shot 35-of-64 from the field for 54.7 percent and hit 11-of-22 three-point tries for 50 percent. The Little Giants missed only two free throws, shooting 23-of-25 from the line for 92 percent. Wabash handed out 17 assists overall in the contest. The Gators finished the game 33-of-71 from the field (46.5 percent) and 10-of-26 from long range (38.5 percent). Allegheny shot 13-of-14 from the free throw line.
Luke Barker led Allegheny with 27 points. Brian Roberts, Jr. became the 30th Allegheny player to reach the 1,000-point mark in a career, scoring 22 in Saturday's game to push him past that plateau. Caden Hinckley added 14 points.

Wabash jumps right back into action on Sunday with a 2 p.m. home contest against Hiram College. The Terriers lost 66-54 at DePauw on Saturday.
