Offense Continues To Roll In 15-1 Win Over Northland

Wabash continued its offensive onslaught in Tucson, Arizona, on Tuesday by scoring a 15-1 victory over Northland College in seven innings.

The Little Giants improved to 5-1 for the season and 3-1 for their spring break schedule of games in Tucson. Wabash is averaging 10.67 runs per game and batting .366 as a team.

Wabash pounded out 14 hits in Tuesday's victory. The Little Giants blew the game open early with a six-run second inning. Wabash added a run in the third, two more in the fourth, and three runs in both the fifth and sixth innings.

Kamden Earley picked up four hits and five RBI in the game. He blasted two triples to tie the Wabash single-game record for three-base hits in a contest. AJ Reid had a four-hit day, as well, and brought home two runs. Austin Simmers and Liam Patton each finished with two RBI for the game. Will Phillips and Reece Bauer had one RBI apiece.

Freshman Robbie Manuzzi was the beneficiary of the scoring bonanza. He earned his first career win by pitching five innings of two-hit baseball. He gave up only one run and two walks while striking out eight batters. Grant Stratton and Sam Phillips both pitched an inning of scoreless baseball. Stratton struck out two batters. Phillips also recorded two strikeouts.

Wabash will take Wednesday off before playing Bemidji State University on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. MST / 3:30 EST.
