Wabash Drops Home Contest To DePauw

Wabash faced DePauw in North Coast Athletic Conference competition at Fischer Field Tuesday afternoon. The Little Giants got a goal from Ethan Stonis in the third quarter in the 18-1 loss to the visiting Tigers.

Stonis tallied his 19th goal of the season with 3:51 remaining in the third period when he scooped up a ground ball after a Wabash (3-8, 0-0-4 NCAC) missed shot attempt. Stonis dodged to the left side of the goal to find an opening for the goal.

DePauw (2-9, 1-3 NCAC) scored the first three goals of the contest in the opening four minutes of the contest on the way to the victory.

Joseph Plencner led the Little Giants with eight shot attempts with five shots on goal. Artie Rogers, Ethan Hendricks, and Stonis each finished with one shot on goal apiece.

Evan Schiefelbein led Wabash with seven ground balls and created a team-high five turnovers on defense. Goalkeeper Matthew Hendrick made eight saves for Wabash in the game. The Little Giants held DePauw to one goal in four man-up opportunities.
