Swift Named Assistant Director of Athletics and Campus Wellness

Tori Swift will join the Wabash College athletics administrative staff as the assistant director of athletics and campus wellness, Wabash director of athletics Matt Tanney announced Thursday.

Swift began working at Wabash in 2021 as a COVID tester and was elevated to the position of COVID coordinator. She joined the College after working for three years as an associate chiropractor and licensed acupuncturist. Swift also served as an age-group swim coach for one season with the local Sugar Creek Swim Club after three seasons as an assistant swim coach at Greencastle High School and one year as an assistant at Southmont High School. She began her coaching career in 2012 as the head swim coach at the Greencastle Middle School.

"Tori proved a reliable campus partner for the athletics program the last two years," Tanney said. "Her rapport with Wabash scholar-athletes, coaches, and staff, combined with her proficiency in the health and wellness space, is a welcome addition to the department."

Swift earned a bachelor's degree in 2014 from DePauw University studying kinesiology. She received a master's degree in sports science and rehabilitation and a doctor of chiropractic from Logan University in 2017.

Swift has worked as a volunteer with Special Olympics since 2005. She served as a Montgomery County volunteer coordinator and has been part of the Special Olympics Indiana Swimming Management Team since 2014. She coached Special Olympics teams at the 2018 and 2022 National Games.

"I'm excited to work in a new way with all of the students at Wabash while continuing as a part of the Wabash team," Swift said.

Swift begins her duties as assistant athletics director at Wabash on May 23.
