A goal in the 79th minute broke a scoreless tie and sent Wabash home with a 1-0 loss at the hands of the Denison University Big Red Wednesday evening in North Coast Athletic Conference men's soccer action.
 
Wabash (5-3-4, 1-1-1 NCAC) fired four shots on goal in the road contest but could not get anything past Denison (8-3-2, 2-1-1 NCAC) goalkeeper Tommy Prokos. Cameron Mitchell collected his second goal of the season in the 79th minute for the Big Red's game-winner. Denison finished with five shots on goal in the contest.
 
Wabash attempted 15 total shots compared to 12 by the Big Red. Jose Escalante led the Little Giants' offense with four total shots. Jesse Martinez, Bryce Kinnaman, Myles Bernat, and Fernan Elizondo each had shots on goal in the contest for Wabash.
 
Little Giant goalkeeper Fernando Ramos made four saves. Wabash was called for one offside violation. Denison earned four offside calls. Denison owned a 7-6 edge in corner kicks for the match.
 
Wabash looks to regroup with a Saturday road contest at the College of Wooster at 12:30 p.m.
