An early goal had the Wabash College soccer chasing Ohio Wesleyan in a home North Coast Athletic Conference match at Fischer Field Wednesday evening. The Little Giants could not find the back of the net in a 2-0 loss to the visiting Battling Bishops.

Wabash (5-5-4, 1-3-1 NCAC) put up 13 shots and one shot on goal but were shut out for only the second time in conference play this season. Ohio Wesleyan (10-3-1, 4-1-0 NCAC) finished with 14 total shots and six shots on goal. The Battling Bishops took a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute on a goal by Franklin Rodriguez before extending the lead to 2-0 on a penalty kick by Christopher Guerra in the 32nd minute.

Fernando Ramos recorded four saves for the Little Giants in goal.
Jose Escalante managed the only shot on goal for Wabash.
Jesse Martinez took a team-high five shots in the contest.

Wabash took five corner kicks and drew two offside calls. OWU was called offsides four times and took nine corner kicks.

The Little Giants travel to 23rd-ranked Kenyon College on Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
