The Wabash College soccer traveled to Gambier, Ohio, Saturday afternoon to face the 23rd-ranked, North Coast Athletic Conference-leading Kenyon College Owls. The Little Giants lost by a final score of 2-0.
Wabash (5-6-4, 1-4-1 NCAC) gave up an unassisted goal to Alem Duratovic in the 12th minute for what would prove to be the game-winner for the Owls (13-3-0, 7-0-0 NCAC). Kenyon added a second goal in the 86th minute by Eamon Dujakovich to claim the 2-0 lead.Â
The Little Giants put up five total shots, with two on goal by
Jesse Martinez and
Bryce Kinnaman. Kenyon attempted 13 shots with six shots on goal. Wabash goalkeeper
Fernando Ramos earned four saves in the match.Â
Kenyon took the only corner kicks of the match with four total. Wabash picked up the only offsides call of the contest.Â
Wabash travels to Wittenberg University on Wednesday before a final home match next Saturday against Oberlin College.
