The Wabash College volleyball team overcame a two-set deficit Friday evening to defeat St. Norbert College 3-2 at Chadwick Court. The Little Giants won 21-25, 20-25, 25-17, 26-24, and 15-11.
 
Wabash (6-7) played to five ties with one lead change in the opening set before St. Norbert (2-6) took an 11-10 lead. The Green Knights extended their advantage to 13-10 before Wabash ended the short scoring run with a kill from Patrick Volk. St. Norbert maintained its lead, expanding it to 18-13. Wabash eventually closed the gap to one point at 20-19 but could not even the score before St. Norbert took the first set 25-21.
 
Wabash jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second set before the Green Knights answered with five straight points. St. Norbert never trailed again, claiming the two-set lead with a 25-20 victory.
 
The Little Giants responded with a solid third set. Wabash trailed 1-0 before scoring the following three points. The Little Giants never trailed again and captured their first set of the night by a score of 25-17.
 
Wabash tied the match at two sets apiece with a 26-24 victory in the fourth set. The two teams played to 12 ties and four lead changes, including a 24-24 tie on a kill by Luke Davis. Jackson Leeper and Patrick Volk shared a block on the next point to put the Little Giants up 25-26. An attack error by St. Norbert on set point gave Wabash the victory and sent the match into a decisive fifth set.
 
St. Norbert grabbed a 2-0 lead in the final set and moved in front 4-1 at one point. The Little Giants rallied after trading points with St. Norbert and tied the score at 6-6 on a kill from Ricky Sessions. Both teams traded points again for the second tie of the set at 7-7. Wabash rallied to score the next five points for a 12-7 lead. The Little Giants completed the comeback with a 15-11 victory in the final set.
 
Sessions led the Little Giants with 29 kills over five sets. Davis added 11 kills, and Volk scored ten kills. Will Beikes gave out 47 assists on the night. Zachary Small and Volk led the Little Giants with 11 digs apiece.
 
Wabash hosts Wittenberg University, Trinity Christian College (IL), and Marian University (WI) for a double-triangular set of matches Saturday beginning at 11 a.m., with the Little Giants playing Trinity Christian. Wabash wraps up the day with a 5 p.m. match versus Marian.
