The Wabash volleyball team lost a three-set match to Wittenberg University Saturday in the second annual North Coast Athletic Conference Showdown. The Little Giants dropped the contest by scores of 25-14, 25-12, and 25-16.

Wabash (2-5) trailed 5-0 in the early going of set one and was never able to recover. The Little Giants rattled off three consecutive points after the host Tigers (7-4) got to set point at 24-11.
Jackson Leeper put away one of his two kills in the first set, followed by an attack error by Wittenberg and a service ace from Leeper. The Little Giants could not keep the attack rolling as the Tigers scored the winner on the following service for a 25-14 victory.

The Little Giants trailed all of the second set in the 25-12 loss but took a 1-0 lead in the final set. Wittenberg ended any hopes for a long Wabash rally by scoring the next five points to move in front. Wabash kept it close, cutting the Tigers' lead to 9-8 on a
Will Beikes service ace, but Wittenberg took control for the 25-16 victory to win the match 3-0.

Leeper finished the day with a team-high five kills. Beikes gave out six assists.
Zachary Small helped with four assists and a team-best five digs.
Ricky Sessions turned in a .957 reception percentage for the match. The Little Giants combined for six blocked shots.

Wabash was scheduled to play Hiram College in the second match, but travel issues forced that contest to be canceled.
