Another late-inning rally led the Wabash College baseball team to a victory over Illinois Wesleyan University. The Little Giants completed the three-game series sweep with a 7-4 win over the Titans in Bloomington, Illinois, Monday evening after claiming a pair of victories Sunday.
 
Wabash (14-6) senior Jacob Bishop was mowing people down on Monday, striking out eight Illinois Wesleyan (4-11) hitters over six innings of work to help propel the Little Giants to victory.The eight strikeout effort matched Bishop's single-game best effort. He struck out eight batters twice during the 2022 season and fanned eight Swarthmore batters earlier this year.
 
In addition to his eight strikeouts, Bishop (3-2) went six innings, giving up four runs, all of them earned, on five hits and walking one for Wabash. Sophomore Gavin Pierson also made an impact on the mound for the Little Giants, throwing three shutout innings while allowing two hits, with one walk and three strikeouts to earn his first career save.
 
In the batter's box, the Little Giants were paced by junior AJ Reid, who went 2-for-4 on the day with his seventh home run of the season and second of the series. The junior third basemen delivered three RBI. Junior Kamden Earley also compiled a standout performance, going 1-for-3 with a triple, two walks, and two RBI. Sophomore Camden Scheidt also contributed for Wabash, putting together two hits in five trips to the plate while adding a double and an RBI.

The score remained 7-4 for the rest of the game as the Little Giants held on for the win.
