PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. --The Wabash College Little Giants wrapped up a spring break win with a five-run ninth inning over Kean University to claim a 7-1 win Wednesday afternoon.
Wabash (7-4) took a 2-1 lead in the second inning and never surrendered the advantage, holding the one-run lead until the ninth. The Little Giants plated five runs in the final inning on a two-RBI single by Liam Patton, a sacrifice fly from Kamden Earley, and a two-run double by Alex Washlock.
Freshman Caleb Everson (2-0) started on the mound and picked up the win for Wabash. The right-hander went eight innings, giving up one run on four hits, allowing three walks, and striking out seven.
