PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. --The Wabash College Little Giants wrapped up a spring break win with a five-run ninth inning over Kean University to claim a 7-1 win Wednesday afternoon.

Wabash (7-4) took a 2-1 lead in the second inning and never surrendered the advantage, holding the one-run lead until the ninth. The Little Giants plated five runs in the final inning on a two-RBI single by Liam Patton, a sacrifice fly from Kamden Earley, and a two-run double by Alex Washlock.

Freshman Caleb Everson (2-0) started on the mound and picked up the win for Wabash. The right-hander went eight innings, giving up one run on four hits, allowing three walks, and striking out seven. Sophomore Braeden Bryant also made an impact on the mound for the Little Giants, throwing one scoreless inning while allowing one hit, with no walks and one strikeout.

In the batter's box, the Little Giants were paced by Washlock, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a double, two walks, and two RBI. Patton also put together a standout performance, going 3-for-5 with two RBI.
