The Wabash College lacrosse team could not overcome a six-goal second period by the College of Wooster in a 23-4 road loss to the Fighting Scots in North Coast Athletic Conference competition Saturday evening at Wooster High School.

Wabash (7-5, 1-3 NCAC) got a pair of first-period goals from
Quinn Fitzgerald to answer eight goals by Wooster (12-1, 3-1 NCAC). Fitzgerald's second goal came in a power-play situation after a faceoff violation penalty by the Scots. Wooster tacked on six goals in the second period to take a 14-2 halftime lead.

Jake Pippen scored the Little Giants' lone third-period goal in response to five goals from Wooster. Fitzgerald scored the final Wabash goal in the fourth period off a pass from Pippen.

Wabash put up 22 shots compared to 64 by the Scots. The Little Giants scored on one of their six man-up opportunities while holding Wooster to one goal in two extra-man chances.
Luka DiFilippo won 12 of the 27 faceoffs in the game and grabbed a team-best six ground balls.
Lucas Cunningham scooped up an additional five ground balls.
Jackson Ayres,
Bryce Poling, and
Sam Santiago each recorded one caused turnover.
Braeden Cooper made 17 saves in goal for Wabash.
