The Wabash College tennis team started fast and claimed a decisive 8-1 win in a home North Coast Athletic Conference match against Wittenberg University Friday afternoon at the Collett Tennis Center.

Wabash (11-5, 2-1 NCAC) won all three doubles matches to start the contest.
Ethan Koeneman and
Cole Shifferly delivered an 8-3 win ahead of an 8-6 victory by
Alvaro Alonso-Sanchez and
Augusto Ghidini at number two doubles.
Cole Borden and
Liam Grennon made a Wabash sweep with an 8-6 win at number one doubles.

Grennon cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win in the sixth flight to start singles play for the Little Giants. Ghidini added a 6-4, 6-2 victory at number four singles. Shifferly picked up a 6-4, 6-0 win at number two singles.
Tharakesh Ashokar won in straight sets at number five singles by scores of 6-4 and 6-2. Borden went to three sets at number three singles to claim a 7-5, 3-6, 10-6 win to complete the match.

Wabash travels to Delaware, Ohio, Saturday for a 2 p.m. conference match at Ohio Wesleyan University.
