The Wabash College swimming and diving team spent the weekend competing against NCAA Division I programs from Indiana and Illinois, coming up with one victory in three dual meets. The Little Giants lost 203-89 to IUPUI on Friday night before splitting a double-dual at Eastern Illinois Saturday. Wabash defeated EIU 143-94 and lost to the University of Evansville 163-42.

Nicholas Plumb raced to second place in the 1,000-yard freestyle at Saturday's double-dual against EIU and Evansville. Plumb finished the race in 10:18.19. Williams Renie added a third-place finish with a time of 10:32.37.
Quinn Sweeney earned a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly Saturday by completing the race in 53.32.
Ethan Johns picked up a third-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.96.
Xander Straw swam to third place in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing in 5:03.75.

The Little Giants competed against the NCAA DI program from IUPUI at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis. Sweeney placed third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:42.90. Plumb picked up a third-place finish in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:53.31. Plumb scored first-place points in the 400-yard individual medley by finishing in 4:18.16.
Dane Market took second place with a time of 4:29.42.
Morgan Govekar scored a third-place finish with a time of 4:47.02.

Justice Wenz, and Market scored first-, second-, and third-place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke. DaMata completed the race in 1:00.44, while Wenz touched the wall in 1:02.35. Market turned in a time of 1:02.53.

Daniel Streeter picked up first-place points in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a combined time of 1:27.51.

Wabash is now gearing up for the annual North Coast Athletic Conference Championships scheduled for February 14-17 at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
