Wabash heads to Oberlin, Ohio, for a Sunday afternoon North Coast Athletic Conference football game at Oberlin College. Kickoff is at 12 p.m.
Â
Wabash and Oberlin play in a rare Sunday afternoon college football game in this year's contest. The game was moved to Sunday due to the Yom Kippur holiday on Saturday (10 Tishri 5785). In a review of records and newspaper accounts dating back to 1914, no record of a Wabash football game played on a Sunday has been found. The last time Wabash played a game other than on a Sunday was a Friday night contest against Earlham in Richmond, Indiana, on October 15, 1948.
Â
Wabash holds a 24-2-1 all-time advantage over Oberlin in football games dating back to a 32-7 loss to the Yeomen in the first meeting in 1945. The Little Giants are 22-1 in NCAC matchups against Oberlin since joining the conference for the 2000 season. Wabash is 12-1 in games played at Oberlin, including a 66-20 victory in the Little Giants' last trip to Ohio to face the Yeomen in 2022. Wabash lost in the first meeting at Oberlin in 1945 and lost a home contest 31-16 in 2012.
