The Wabash College volleyball team saw its six-game winning streak end Saturday with a 3-1 loss to Adrian College in Saturday's first game of the Illinois Wesleyan University Invitational played in Bloomington, Illinois. The Little Giants rallied in game two to take a 3-0 victory over the host Titans to finish 3-1 in the two-day event.

Wabash (7-2) held an early lead in the first set against Adrian (7-6) until a 6-2 run gave the Bulldogs a 12-13 advantage. The Little Giants could not draw even, eventually losing the opener 25-22 to Adrian. Wabash lost the second set 25-22 but then rallied to claim a 25-23 victory to force a fourth set. Adrian claimed the final set 25-23 for the 3-1 victory.

Will Beikes handed out 42 assists in the loss. BawiBawi Thang paced Wabash on offense with 18 kills and a .455 attack percentage.
Jackson Leeper recorded 12 kills with a .688 attack percentage.
Ricky Sessions put away 11 kills in the match. Sessions and
Patrick Volk finished with eight digs apiece.

The Little Giants controlled the second match against Illinois Wesleyan (7-4). Wabash only trailed by one point on two early occasions in the first set before taking an 18-11 lead. The Little Giants kept the seven-point differential to win the opening set 25-18. Wabash never trailed in the second set. The Little Giants scored the first six points of the set on the way to a 25-16 victory. Wabash and IWU traded points at the start of the third set before the Little Giants captured the 25-14 victory and an overall 3-0 win in the match.

Thang once again led Wabash with 12 kills. The freshman finished with a .579 attack percentage. Leeper picked up seven kills with a .636 attack percentage. Beikes gave out an additional 27 assists to give him 1,205 for his career.
Christopher Board recorded eight digs to lead Wabash on defense. The Little Giants tallied three solo blocks and 13 block assists in the match, led by Leeper with one solo and four block assists.

Wabash returns to Chadwick Court Tuesday evening for a 7 p.m. match against Trinity Christian College.
