The Wabash College volleyball team returned home to face NAIA's Trinity Christian College on Tuesday evening. The Little Giants battled to within two points in the final set but fell 3-0 to the visiting Trolls.

Wabash (7-3) got off to a rough start in the first set, falling behind 15-5 before an eventual 25-12 loss. The Little Giants gained momentum in the second set, taking an 8-2 lead from the outset. The Trolls (2-3) rallied to even the score at 16-16 before taking a 25-19 victory for a 2-0 lead overall.

Wabash stayed even with Trinity Christian in set number three, tying the score for the fifth and final time at 17-17. The Trolls answered with a score and maintained a one-point lead until match point at 24-23. The Little Giants had the serve, but a TCC kill gave the visitors the 3-0 victory.

Bawibawi Thang, named the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League Offensive Player of the Week earlier in the day, led Wabash with 11 kills and a .200 attack percentage.
Patrick Volk added ten kills.
Will Beikes picked up 27 assists in the match. Beikes and Volk each finished with seven digs to pace Wabash defensively.

Wabash heads to Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday to face Wittenberg University and Hiram College in a tri-match beginning at 2 p.m.
