The Wabash College volleyball team opened a doubleheader weekend in Ohio with a Friday evening Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League contest at the University of Mount Union. The Little Giants lost to the host Purple Raiders 3-0.

Wabash (14-9, 2-4 MCVL) battled in the first two games, with the two teams trading leads three times. Mount Union (11-9, 5-2 MCVL) won the opening set 25-22 in a contest that saw four ties and two lead changes. Wabash and UMU exchanged one lead with one tie in the second set before the Purple Raiders claimed the 25-22 win to go up two sets to none. Mount Union led from start to finish in the final set for a 25-18 victory.

Zev Wolverton paced the Wabash offense with a career-high 18 kills with a .438 attack percentage.
Julian Alvizo recorded a career-best 23 assists with a .434 set percentage.
Ricky Sessions picked up a team-best seven digs on defense, while Wolverton added six digs.
