Wabash opened the home portion of its 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference schedule against Denison University. The Little Giants came up short despite scoring a team-best nine goals against the Big Red in a 20-9 loss at Fischer Field.

Wabash (7-3, 0-2 NCAC) trailed 6-0 to Denison (6-5, 2-0 NCAC) before
Quinn Fitzgerald tallied the first goal for the Little Giants with 1:44 remaining in the opening period. Wabash picked up goals from
Will Sorg and
Christian Dybedock in the second period to trail 13-3 at halftime.

Sam Santiago and Sorg each added third-period goals. Sorg added two more in the final period to go with goals from Fitzgerald and
Blake Stephens. Fitzgerald and Santiafo both picked up assists for the Little Giants.

Denison outshot Wabah 55-35. Little Giant goalkeeper
Colin Krekeler recorded 14 saves, including six in the final period to help Wabash match Denison with four goals in the period.
Quinn Shefferly and Santiago each picked up four ground balls to share team-high honors. Shefferly and
Lucas Cunningham each finished with two caused turnovers in the contest.

Wabash continues conference play with a home contest Tuesday at 4 p.m. against Ohio Wesleyan University.
