Wabash took an early 2-1 lead in its 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference opening tennis match versus Wooster on Saturday afternoon. The Little Giants held on to claim a 5-4 victory.
 
Wabash (9-6, 1-0 NCAC) scored two double victories to start the contest. Augusto Ghidini and Cole Shifferly combined for an 8-6 win at number one doubles. Tharakesh Ashokar and Rafael Rin earned an 8-5 victory in the third doubles flight for the Little Giants.
 
Ashokar won his number four singles match in straight sets by scores of 6-3 and 6-0. Rin won 6-1, 6-0 at number five single for the Little Giants. Vittorio Bona added a 6-3, 6-1 win at number six singles to help Wabash earn five points for the match victory.
 
The Little Giants continue their conference homestand with a 10:30 a.m. match on Sunday morning at the Collett Tennis Center.
