Reid Earns All-Region Honors From ABCA, D3baseball.com

Recent Wabash College graduate AJ Reid earned All-Region Seven honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association and D3baseball.com on Tuesday. The senior third baseman was named to the 2024 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division All-Region Seven First Team while earning Second Team All-Region honors from D3baseball.com.

Reid earned All-Region honors for the second time in his career after receiving First Team All-North Coast Athletic Conference recognition for the third consecutive season. Reid garnered ABCA Second Team All-Region honors and a D3baseball All-Region Third Team selection in 2023. He was named the first NCAC Baseball Gold Glove Award recipient in conference history as a senior by recording 49 putouts and 94 assists in 40 games at third base for the Little Giants. Reid participated in 11 double plays and started the second triple play in Wabash baseball history.

Reid became the Little Giants' all-time hits leader this season, finishing with 210 total hits over four seasons. He batted a career-best .407 as a senior with 59 hits in 145 at-bats. Reid drove in 44 runs, producing 13 doubles, seven triples, and a team-high six home runs. His seven triples ranked fifth among NCAA Division III players in 2024.

Reid led the conference and ranked 32nd among NCAA DIII players with an on-base percentage of .525 with 27 walks and being hit by pitches 18 times. He produced eight sacrifice flies to break the Wabash single-season record while finishing second in the conference and 11th in the nation. His 18 times hit by a pitch tied his own school record set last season. Reid ended his career in the top ten in 20 different offensive categories in the Wabash career record book and four single-season records for the Little Giants. He also became the first player in the 158-year history of Wabash baseball to hit for the cycle with a single, double, triple, and home run against Hiram on April 13.
