CRAWFORDSVILLE, Indiana --- Wabash College honored the members of the senior class for the 2024-2025 swimming and diving team before the Little Giants' 226-67 victory Friday evening over Franklin College at the Class of 1950 Natatorium.

Nicolas Hakimian,
Ethan Johns,
Garrett Mroz, and
Justice Wenz for their career contributions to the Little Giant program.Â
After the senior celebration, the Little Giant foursome of
Ryan West,
Quinn Sweeney,
Brody Page, and Johns won the opening event, the 200-yard medley relay, with a combined time of 1:36.64. The quartet of
Nicholas Plumb, Wenz,
William Rife, and
Daniel Streeter scored a third-place finish by posting a time of 1:39.19.Â
Xander Straw won the 1,000-yard freestyle by finishing in 10:14.80.
William Renie took second place with a time of 10:44.93, while
Nicholas Sommers captured third place with a time of 10:53.49. Sommers also finished third in the 200-yard backstroke by finishing in 2:06.03.Â
Sweeney scored one of his two individual victories by winning the 200-yard freestyle by finishing in 1:45.06.
Mason Gilliam added a third-place finish by touching the wall in 1:49.36. Sweeney also scored a victory in the  100-yard butterfly with a winning time of 52.73. Rife placed second overall with a time of 53.47.Â
Gilliam won the 500-yard freestyle by finishing in 4:57.98. Straw scored a second-place finish with a time of 5:01.90.Â
Wenz scored an individual victory in the 200-yard breaststroke by posting a winning time of 2:18.25.
Cooper Kowalski added a third-place finish with a time of 2:21.08.Â
Craig won the 100-yard breaststroke with a top time of 1:02.17. Wenz placed third for the Little Giants with a time of 1:03.07.Â
Johns swam to first place in the 50-yard freestyle by touching the wall in 21.37. Streeter scored a third-place finish with a time of 22.63. Johns also won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 46.63. Craig placed second by finishing in 49.44.
John Allen added a third-place finish with a time of 50.17.Â
Page won the 200-yard butterfly with a top time of 2:02.71. Plumb finished second with his time of 2:04.96.
Dane Market added a third-place finish with a time of 2:06.22.Â
Ryan West won the 100-yard backstroke by posting a winning time of 53.91. He also captured the top spot in the 400-yard individual medley with a winning time of 4:23.78. Market scored a second-place finish with a time of 4:35.95.
Mark Berger picked up third place by finishing in 4:45.32.Â
Wabash swept both diving events with 1-2-3 finishes.
Alexander Arruza won the one-meter event with a score of 199.10.
Christopher Wiatr scored 194.15 to earn a second-place finish. Mroz finished third with a score of 133.20. The threesome finished in the same order on the three-meter board. Arruza won with a score of 192.95. Wiatr finished with a score of 163.35, and Mroz posted a score of 137.90 on the high board.Â
The Little Giants closed the meet by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay. The Wabash senior quartet of Johns, Hakimian, Wenz, and Craig captured the top spot with a combined time of 3:14.44. The quartet of Streeter, Plumb,
Michael Cruzado, and  Sweeney captured second place with a time of 3:15.10.Â
Wabash returns to action on Friday, January 24, when the Little Giants compete in a dual meet at Illinois Wesleyan University.Â
