CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- The Wabash College basketball team has been recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) with the 2024-25 Team Academic Excellence Award, marking another strong showing for the Little Giants both on the court and in the classroom.
The award honors programs across all divisions that achieve a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Wabash posted a 3.37 GPA for the academic year.
In addition to the team honor, four Wabash student-athletes were named to the NABC Honors Court, which recognizes junior, senior, and graduate student men's basketball players with cumulative GPAs of 3.2 or higher:
"This is the real reason that young men come to Wabash," said head coach
Kyle Brumett. "It's always nice to see them grow from freshmen and sophomores into leaders within our group, both on the court and in the classroom. I think these four guys have done that as well as any of the players and students before them."
More than 400 college programs nationwide earned the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award this year.
