2025 Wabash College Football - Game Three at the College of Wooster

Crawfordsville, Ind. – Wabash College begins North Coast Athletic Conference play Saturday with a road contest at the College of Wooster. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Eastern at John P. Papp Stadium in Wooster, Ohio.

Opening Notes

Wabash enters the matchup with a 2-0 record after a 38-28 home victory over Case Western Reserve last week. The Little Giants improved their all-time record to 727-404-59, ranking fifth in NCAA Division III history in victories and 15th in winning percentage at .636. Wabash and Notre Dame are the only college football programs in Indiana with more than 700 wins.

The Little Giants are competing in their 25th season in the NCAC and have won or shared nine league titles in the past 17 years. Wabash was picked second in the 2025 NCAC preseason coaches poll after finishing as conference runner-up last year.

This marks the 29th meeting between Wabash and Wooster. The Little Giants lead the all-time series 24-4, including a 12-2 record in games played at Papp Stadium. Wabash has won the last three contests, including a 55-19 road victory last season.

Series History

Wabash leads the all-time series 24-4 and holds a 20-4 advantage since joining the NCAC in 2000. The Little Giants rolled to a 55-19 win in Wooster last season behind 577 yards of total offense, including a career-high 185 rushing yards from Xavier Tyler.

Last Week's Win

Junior quarterback Brand Campbell accounted for three touchdowns in the win over Case Western Reserve. He threw for 208 yards and two scores while adding 66 rushing yards and a touchdown. Luke Adams caught six passes for 94 yards and a touchdown, while TJ Alexander added a four-yard scoring reception.

Running backs Xavier Tyler and Cole Dickerson combined for 139 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Tyler scored from three yards out, while Dickerson added a 12-yard touchdown run.

Defensively, Wabash recorded five sacks and six tackles for loss. Senior defensive end Brody Frey led the effort with two sacks, while Wade McAllister, Jerry McBee, and Dakota Johnson each added one. Senior safety Brock Robertson paced the defense with seven tackles.

Key Players

Campbell has completed 68 percent of his passes for 512 yards and six touchdowns through two games. He leads the NCAC in passing efficiency (189.8) and ranks 18th nationally.

Ruppert moved into sixth place on the Wabash career tackles list with 273 after making six stops last week. The three-time All-NCAC linebacker is closing in on the top five in program history.

Frey and McAllister are tied for third in the NCAC with an average of one sack per game. Frey recorded two sacks against Case Western, while McAllister has tallied one in each of the Little Giants' first two games.

Scouting Wooster

Wooster enters Saturday's matchup with a 1-1 record after defeating St. Vincent 28-14 in its home opener. The Scots opened the season with a 59-35 loss at Wilmington in the debut of head coach Austin Holter.

The Scots lead the NCAC in passing at 352 yards per game. Junior quarterback Michael Boyle has thrown for 615 yards and eight touchdowns through two games. Senior wide receivers Tate Journell and Jordan Lewis have combined for 28 catches, 530 yards, and seven touchdowns.

Defensively, senior safety Brock Sivon leads the team with 18 tackles, while senior linebacker Braydon Hudson has 12 stops. Senior defensive tackle Paul Ehrenger and junior linebacker Christian Kring share the team lead with two sacks apiece.
