Crawfordsville, Ind. — Wabash College junior quarterback Brand Campbell and sophomore safety Gage Gulley have been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Football Athletes of the Week, with Campbell earning Offensive Athlete of the Week honors and Gulley recognized as the Defensive Athlete of the Week following the Little Giants' 36-0 victory over Denison University on Saturday.
Campbell led the Wabash offense by throwing for 207 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for another score in the Homecoming win. The junior completed 14 of 20 passes without an interception and added a team-best 55 rushing yards on nine carries, averaging 6.1 yards per attempt. Campbell opened Saturday's scoring with a 17-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, added a one-yard rushing touchdown late in the first half, and connected on a 31-yard scoring strike in the third quarter to push the Little Giants' lead to 33-0.
Gulley anchored a dominant Wabash defense with a 52-yard interception return for a touchdown in the second quarter. The sophomore safety finished with four tackles, including a half tackle for loss, and added a pass breakup, , helping the Little Giants record their first shutout since 2024. Gulley's defensive effort was part of Wabash unit that limited Denison—entering the game ranked fourth in the NCAC in scoring at 31.0 points per contest—to just 25 rushing yards on 24 attempts and no points for the first time since 2018.
The Little Giants' defense totaled seven tackles for loss and held the Big Red without a score in the Homecoming win, marking the first Wabash Homecoming shutout since a 51-0 victory over Oberlin in 2016.
