Tournament Results
Nate Koelper scored three victories over the weekend to win the fifth singles draw at the 2012 Kerry Seward Memorial Tennis Tournament, held at Wabash College and Crawfordsville High School Saturday and Sunday. The Little Giants finished fourth out of eight teams overall.

Koelper won his opening match by scores of 6-1, 6-1 over Brandon Curis from Carthage College. Koelper picked up a 6-4, 6-4 win in the semifinals against Michael Janssen from Coe before winning in straight sets (7-5, 7-5) over Nick Boomgarden from Carthage in the finals.
Ian Leonard and
Evan Bayless combined to finish second at number three doubles. The duo scored an 8-0 win in round one over Derk Zimmers and Maxwell Erlewein from Hanover, then picked up an 8-2 victory against Randy Billingsley and Nathan Moore from Rose-Hulman. Alex McLean and Conor Moon from Carthage won 9-7 in the finals. Leonard also took third place at number four singles. He opned with a three-set win (1-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3) over Andrew Sheedy from Dubuque before falling 7-5, 6-1 to Coe College's Michael Woolf. Leonard knocked off McLean in the finals in three sets (1-6, 6-3, 15-13).
Wabash finished with 38 points to take fourth place. Carthage won with 64 points. Ohio Northern was second with 59 points, followed by Coe College with 58 points. Dubuque (35), the Kerry Seward mixed team (26), Rose-Hulman (23) and Hanover (21) rounded out the team scoring.
