Lefever Earns All-America Honors with Seventh-Place Finish

Sophomore Reece Lefever scored a seventh-place finish to earn All-America honors in his first trip to the NCAA National Tourmament.
Sophomore Reece Lefever earned All-America honors in his first trip to the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championship Tournament with a seventh-place finish at 157 pounds.

Lefever advanced to Saturday's session after picking up three vicotorie to close out Friday's first day of competition at the Cedar Falls Ice Arena. His only loss on the first day came against Devin Biscaha from Springfield College, who eventually won the national title.

Lefever opened Saturday's competition with a 4-0 loss to third-seeded Cole Welter from Wartburg. Welter finished fifth in the weight class. Lefever was set to face the number-one seed in the tournament, Elias Larson from Trine University, but earned a medical forfeit when Larson was unable to compete in the finals. 

A transer from Indiana East, Lefever finished his first season as a member of the Little Giants' wrestling squad with a record of 35-5. He is the 11th Wabash wrestler to earn All-America honors.
