Tennis Opens Florida Trip With Shutout

Wabash tennis opened its 2015 spring break trip to Orlando, Florida with a 9-0 win against Moravian College.
 
The Little Giants opened the shutout with an 8-3 victory by Daniel Delgado and William Reifeis at number one doubles. Michael Makio and Mark Troiano scored an 8-1 win Mazin Hakim and Graham McMullen won every game in their 8-0 set at number three doubles.
 
Delgado had little trouble at number one singles, scoring a 6-1, 6-0 win. Makio rallied in three sets for a 6-1, 4-6, 10-4 win in the second flight. Troiano won 6-1, 7-5 in third singles, while Reifeis rebounded from a slow start for a 3-6, 6-0, 10-3 win in the fourth flight. Graham McMullen scored a 6-2, 6-4 win at fifth singles. Nicholas Pollock cruised to the final victory at sixth singles with a 6-1, 6-1 score.
 
Wabash (10-3) faces the University of Texas at Tyler Monday at 1 p.m.
