Daniel Delgado set a new career doubles victory mark in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to DePauw University.

The doubles team of Delgado and
William Reifeis entered the day ranked third in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region rankings, but had to battle back from a 4-1 deficit facing Eric Vannata and Alex Kaczkowski in the first flight. The Wabash duo rallied for an eventual 8-6 victory to improve to 22-1 in number-one doubles matches and 24-2 overall for the year. The victory was the 74
th of Delgado's career, moving him past Ian Leonard who held the career record with 73 doubles victories.

Delgado and DePauw's Chris Bertolini played a marathon match at number one singles to close out Wednesday night's match. Bertolini is ranked 10
th in the Central Region in singles play, while Delgado is ranked 23
rd, but the Wabash senior came out to take a 6-3 victory in the first set. Delgado appeared to be cruising toward an easy victory before Bertolini fought back to take a 7-5 win in the second set and force a third set tiebreaker. The two battled back and forth before Delgado captured the third set and the match with a 10-7 tiebreaker victory. Â

Michael Makio earned a similar victory at number two singles. The sophomore won 6-4 in the first set but was blanked 6-0 by Alec Kaczkowski in the second. Makio rallied to take a 10-8 win in the third set tiebreaker, providing the final point for the Little Giants in the match.

Wabash (20-5) will close out the regular season in Ohio this Saturday. The Little Giants play at Denison in the morning before finishing the day at Kenyon.
