Jordan Greenwell captured a three-set win in the third singles flight against Earlham.

Singles Sweep Provides Wabash Win Over Earlham

Wabash swept all six singles matches Tuesday night to close out a 7-2 home victory over Earlham College in men's tennis.

The Little Giants rallied after losing two of the three doubles contests to open the competition.

Michael Makio used a strong service game to take his number one doubles match 6-2, 6-1 for his sixth straight win in the top singles flight. William Reifeis score a 6-3, 6-1 at number two singles. Jordan Greenwell battled back from a first-set deficit to win 2-6, 6-1 7-5 at number three singles. Kirill Ivashchenko claimed a 6-4, 7-5 win at fourth singles. Nicholas Pollock rebounded from a 2-6 loss in the first set of his number five singles match to win 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 to earn the victory. Mazin Hakim closed out singles play with a three-set win at sixth singles by scores of 6-1, 2-6, 12-10.

Hakim and Ivashchenko scored the lone doubles win by a score of 8-6 in a tiebreaker for a final of 9-8.

Wabash (5-2) travels to Michigan this Saturday to play Carthage and Luther.
