The Little Giant golf team shot a season-best first-round score of 298 Saturday at the Wabash College Fall Golf Classic.

Wabash sits in fourth place, six strokes back of first-round leader Parkland College with a score of 292. Earlham College is second with a score of 294. Oakland City University carded a 297 for third place heading into Sunday's final round.

Sam Wise posted the top round for the Little Giants by shooting a two-over par 72 for a tie for fourth place after 18 holes.
Will Osborn is tied for seventh place after finishing with a score of three-over par 73 over 18 holes at the Crawfordsville Country Club.
Blake Miller shot a 76 to tie for 18
th place.
Kyle Warbinton tied for 23
rd place with a first-round score of 77.
Ben Kiesel also shot a 77 to tie for 23
rd place.

Tim Neu is tied for 16
th after finishing with an 18-hole score of 75 playing for the Wabash "B" team.
Allen Johnson shot a round of 80 to tie for 35th place after the first day of competition.
Jack Schrecongost is tied for 41
st with a score of 82.
Drew Fleming and
Zach Podl are both one stroke back in a tie for 43-place after shooting a pair of 83s.

Earlham's Nate Mynatt leads the tournament after the first day with an even-par round of 70.
