Champagne Named HHSB Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

Sophomore wrestler Carlos Champagne has been named the Wabash College Scholar-Athlete of the Week presented by Hoosier Heartland State Bank.

Champagne scored four victories to claim the 125-pound title at the Millikin Open on Saturday. He opened the tournament with a pin, followed by an 11-2 major decision in the quarterfinal round. Champagne defeated Jared Hensley 7-2 in the semis prior to receiving a medical forfeit in the championship match. Champagne is undecided as to a major at this time.
