Golf Places Tenth At Mount St. Joseph Invite

The Wabash golf team opened the spring portion of its 2018-2019 schedule at the Mount St. Joseph Spring Invite Saturday and Sunday. The Little Giants finished tenth out of 13 teams competing at the tournament.
 
Justin Kopp was the top individual for Wabash, tying for 24th place out of 87 total entrants with a two-round total of 158 (81-77). Kyle Warbinton tied for 53 by carding a 168 (84-84). Sam Wise shot rounds of 82 and 88 for a two-day total of 170 to tie for 57th place. Ben Kiesel and Zach Podl both finished with totals of 174. Kiesel shot an 86 on Saturday prior to carding an 88 on Sunday. Podl posted a score of 90 in the first round before shooting an 84 Sunday.
 
Wabash shot 666 for the tournament with rounds of 333 both days. Earlham College won the tournament with a total score of 613, narrowly defeating Trine University in second place with a score of 615.
 
The Little Giants will compete in the Rose-Hulman Invitational March 30-31 at the Hulman Links in Terre Haute, Indiana.
