Warbinton Tied For Ninth After First Round of NCAC Golf Championship

Kyle Warbinton fired a 75 on Saturday to finish tied for ninth place after the first round of the 2019 North Coast Athletic Conference Golf Championships taking place this weekend at the Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio.

Warbinton finished the first nine holes at even par before shooting three-over on the back nine for a 75. He is tied with Adam Armstrong from Ohio Wesleyan and Ethan Manalo from Kenyon for ninth place. Tyler Pham from Allegheny is the leader after finishing with a threre-under par 69 after the first 18 holes of play on Saturday. The scheduled first round of competition was cancelled on Friday due to course conditions from the weather.

Justin Kopp, BenKiesel, and Will Osborn all shot 83s Saturday to finish the first round in a tied for 34th place. Sam Wise carded a 91 and enters Sunday's final round in 40th place in the individual standings.

Wabash scored a total of 324 strokes on Saturday for eighth place in the team standings. Ohio Wesleyan is the team leader heading into Sunday with a score of 291.
