Wabash carded an opening round score of 311 Monday to tie for ninth place heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes of the O'Briant Jensen Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament is being played at The Cardinal by Pete Dye in Greensboro, North Carolina with 22 teams competing at the event. 

The Little Giants matched the score of the 20th-ranked team from the University of Lynchburg and are a stroke ahead of 18th-ranked Hampden-Sydney College. Third-ranked Methodist University leads the tournament after shooting an opening round of 292. 

Brayden Weiss finished the first day with a two-over 73 to tie for eighth place. Hyatt Hines is one stroke back with a 74 to tie for 17th place. Tim Neu is in a tie for 51st place after shooting a 79 in the first round. Matt Lesniak is tied for 97th place out of 119 golfers competing at the event. He scored an 85 on the first day. Mark Poole turned in an opening round of 89 and is tied for 112th place.

Tuesday's final round begins at 9 a.m.
