Wabash swept Saturday's University of Dubuque wrestling duals by earning victories over the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Schreiner University, and the host Dubuque Spartans.
The Little Giants opened with a 53-0 win over MSOE.
Christian Merrill scored a pin at the three-minute mark of his 125 match to give Wabash the 6-0 lead.
Carlos Champagne added a win by forfeit at 133 pounds.
Gavinn Alstott battled to a 4-3 victory in his 141-pound bout before
Alex Barr pinned his 149-pound match opponent to put Wabash in front 21-0.
Tyson Nisley won 16-1 at 157 pounds to earn a technical fall.
Kyle Hatch scored a pin at the 2:11 mark of his 165-pound bout.
Ray Arebalo won by forfeit at 174 pounds.
Chase Baczek added a pin at 4:30 in his 184-pound bout.
Grant Johnson won an 8-1 decision at 197 pounds before
Maxwell Bishop closed out the match with a pin at 3:47 in his heavyweight match.
Wabash scored a second shutout with a 55-0 win over Schreiner in the second round of duals. Merrill started with a forfeit in his 125-pound bout. Champagne scored da 16-1 tech fall win at 133 pounds. Alstott pinned his 141-pound opponent in 2:24 to push the lead to 17-0.
Barr needed only 45 seconds to score a pin in his 149-pound match. Nisley added a 16-1 tech fall win to give Wabash another five team points. Hatch picked up a pin at the 1:25 mark of the 165-pound bout. Arebalo received a forfeit at 174 pounds before Baczek scored a pin 53 seconds into his 184-pound event. Johnson received a forfeit at 197 pounds. Bishop took a 3-1 victory at 285 pounds to give Wabash the 55-0 win.
Wabash and Dubuque met in the final round as the two undefeated teams on the day. The Spartans took an early lead before Champagne scored a 5-3 win at 133 pounds to tie the team score at 3-3. Alstott won by pin at 1:33 in the next bout at 141 pounds. Barr picked up a 7-2 victory at 149 pounds. Hatch gave Wabash an 18-6 lead with a pin at 1:25 in the 165-pound match.
Baczek scored an 8-0 shutout win at 184 pounds for a major victory and another four points toward the Little Giants' team scoring. Johnson scored the final team points with a pin near the end of his 197-pound match to give Wabash the 28-12 victory.
Wabash also competed at the North Central Invitational on Saturday and placed sixth in the final team scoring out of 15 teams competing. Seven Little Giant wrestlers scored top-eight finishes in the tournament.
TJ Driessens scored the highest finish by placing fourth at 149 pounds. He advanced in the championship portion of the bracket with a pin in the second round as one of two victories on the day.
Bradley Harrington finished in sixth place in the 174-pound bracket. He won by pin at 2:01 in his first-round bout then scored four consecutive victories, including a pin and a tech fall after moving to the consolation bracket.
Colin Baker won four matches with two pins at 285-pounds to finish in sixth place overall in the bracket.
Jaden Bird picked up three wins in the consolation bracket of the 125-pound bracket to finish in a tie for eighth place.
Daniel Uribe won his first two 141-pound matches and finished the tournament with three victories to place eighth at 141 pounds.
Teo Palubinskas placed eighth at 184 pounds. He scored three pins out of his four victories for the tournament.
Nick Casad also won four matches with two coming on pins to finish in eighth place at 197 pounds.
The Little Giants return to action in January when they compete at the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals in Louisville, Kentucky.
