Wabash College senior guards
Jack Davidson and
Tyler Watson have been named to the 2021-22 Men's Basketball Academic All-District 7 Men's First Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Davidson earned All-District honors for the third time in his career in addition to receiving Academic All-America Second Team honors in 2018-19 and Third Team honors in 2019-20. An economics major with a 3.68 cumulative grade point average, Davidson is the all-time leading scorer in Wabash basketball history with 2,206 points, making him the only player in school history to eclipse 2,200 points in a career.

Davidson was named to the
Bevo Francis Award Top-50 Watch List on Tuesday. The award is presented to the small college basketball player who has had the finest overall season. Davidson ranks fourth among Division III players in total points scored this season with 559 and is seventh in points per game with a 24.3-point scoring average. He is third in the nation in three-point field goal percentage (47.6) and free throws made with 141. Davidson is fourth among DIII players in free throw percentage (92.8) and three-point field goals per game (3.83). In addition, he ranks fifth in total three-point field goals made with 88.

Davidson has helped Wabash capture its first North Coast Athletic Conference men's basketball regular-season championships since the Little Giants joined the league for the 1999-2000 season. He leads the conference in scoring and ranks fourth in fourth in total assists with an average of 3.9 per game.

Watson is a chemistry and mathematics double major with a 3.88 cumulative GPA. He earned Academic All-District honors for the second time in his career after being named to the 2020-21 Academic All-District 7 First Team. Watson ranks second in the conference with an average of 5.2 assists per game. He broke the Wabash single-game assists record by handing out 14 on February 6 versus Hiram. He ranks sixth in the conference in scoring with an average of 16.9 points per game. Watson is fifth in the NCAC in three-point field goals made (54) and ninth in field goal percentage (48.8). He eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for his career earlier this season and currently ranks 14
th on the Wabash all-time scoring list with 1,235 points.

Watson served as a member of the Wabash COVID Action Response and Education (CARE) Team as a manager. He and Davidson have both been involved with the Wabash basketball team's partnership with the local Hose Elementary School's Books, Basketball, and Beyond reading program.

The 2021-22Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. First Team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in March.
