The Wabash College wrestling team honored six senior members of its 2023-2024 squad Thursday evening before scoring a 25-12 dual-meet victory over Albion College at Chadwick Court. The win marked the first in the career of head coach
Jake Fredricksen.

Daniel Uribe were recognized for their accomplishments and contributions to the program. After the ceremony,
James Day jolted the crowd by scoring a pin in 57 seconds to win his 125-pound bout and stake the Little Giants to a 6-0 lead. Albion scored a win in the next bout, but
Arlie Benson answered with a 12-4 major decision at 141 pounds to put Wabash in front 10-3.

Nisley started a four-bout winning streak for the Little Giants with a 12-5 decision at 157 pounds.
Jesse Herrera followed with a pin at the 4:08 mark of his 165-pound match.
Ray Arebalo shut out his opponent in the 174-pound weight class match with a 6-0 victory.
Chase Baczek completed the run with a 3-0 decision at 184 pounds to give Wabash a 25-6 lead. Albion won the final two matches of the evening for the 25-12 final.

The Little Giants will compete at the Concordia University – Wisconsin Open Tournament on November 18.
