The Wabash College golf team placed second at the Dan Quayle Invitational held Monday and Tuesday at the Covered Bridge Golf Club in Sellersburg, Indiana. The Little Giants defeated Wittenberg 3-1/2 to 2-1/2 in the first match play event of the tournament before losing to the host DePauw University squad 4-2 in the championship match on Tuesday.

Wabash qualified second in Monday's stroke-play competition by shooting 299 as a team, finishing second among the eight teams at the event.
Mark Poole paced the Little Giants with a career-low round of 68 to finish four-under par for the day with the best score among the 44 players competing.
Brayden Weiss tied for second in stroke play by shooting a round of 71 to finish one-under par.
Sean Bledsoe carded a 78 to tie for 16
th place.
Tim Neu shot an 82 to tie for 32
nd place.
Lewis Dellinger turned in a score of 85 to tie for 37
th place.
Matthew Lesniak completed the scoring for the Little Giants with a round of 88 to tie for 41
st place.

Wabash finished second in the stroke-play portion of Monday's session and advanced to play third-place Wittenberg in the match-play semifinals. The Little Giants won 3-1/2 to 2-1/2 to advance to Tuesday's title match against DePauw. The host Tigers claimed the title by winning four of the six individual match-play events.
