The Wabash College golf team fired an opening round of 304 to tie for seventh place after 18 holes at the 37-team Illinois Wesleyan University Invitational.

The Little Giants played at Weibring Golf Course on Friday, finishing in a tie with the Illinois Wesleyan second team. The host Titans' primary team leads the tournament after the first day with a score of 287.

Brayden Weiss led the Little Giants with a first-day score of 74 for a share of 18
th place in the individual standings.
Lewis Dellinger shot a 76 for his best tournament 18-hole round to tie for 53
rd place heading into Saturday's final round.
Sean Bledsoe and
Tim Neu tied for 74
th place with scores of 77.
Mark Poole turned in a score of 80 to tie for 123
rd place out of the 212-man field.
