The Wabash College tennis squad was honored as a 2023 All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Wednesday. Twelve Little Giant players were honored as 2023 ITA Men's Division III Scholar-Athletes.

Blake Discher II,
Liam Grennon,
Eduardo Werneck,
Augusto Ghidini,
Cole Langston,
Cole Shifferly,
Bennett Strain,
Ethan Wallace, and
Christan Zimmerman were recognized for their accomplishments in the classroom. All 12 student-athlete achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average for the 2022-23 academic year as members of the Little Giants' tennis program. A total of 1,012 individuals received Division III Men's Scholar-Athlete designations.

Wabash was among 125 Division III men's tennis teams to earn All-Academic Team recognition with a grade point average of 3.2 or higher. Wabash finished the 2022-23 year with a 3.66 cumulative GPA.

"It's a tremendous honor for these young men to be honored by the ITA for their academic excellence," Wabash head coach
Daniel Bickett said. "To be recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team and to have 12 ITA Scholar-Athletes during a season where we also put together some of our best results on the court in years speaks to how well-rounded our athletes are".
