Wabash College rising junior wrestler
James Day was named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Academic All-District At-Large Team, announced Tuesday.

Day, a biology major, also earned Scholar All-America honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association earlier this year. He placed third at 125 pounds at the 2024 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament to earn All-America honors. Day finished the season with 29 total victories with ten pins, six technical-fall victories, and two major decisions. He posted the third-highest win total by a Wabash wrestler this season, while his ten pins were fourth-best on the Wabash list in the 2023-24 campaign. He captured two individual tournament titles and scored five second- or third-place finishes at tournaments this season, including a third-place finish at the 2024 Central Region Tournament to qualify for nationals.

Nominees for the CSC Academic All-America program must have at least a 3.50 GPA, be at least a sophomore in academic standing, and meet the playing criteria for the sport within the at-large contest. All-District selections also nominated for Academic All-America balloting will be voted on by members of the CSC organization. The CSC Academic All-America Team for men's at-large sports is scheduled to be announced on July 16.
