Sean Bledsoe Tied For Tiournament Lead Through First 18 Holes

COLUMBUS, Indiana --- Wabash shot a season-low round of 288 through the first 18 holes in the opening round of the 2025 North Coast Athletic Conference Golf Championships taking place at the Otter Creek Golf Course. The Little Giants are in third place in the team standings, four shots back of Kenyon and Wittenberg with two rounds remaining.

Junior Sean Bledsoe is tied for the individual lead after carding a three-under-par 69 on the par-72 course on Friday. He picked up birdies on holes five and seven on the front side of the course while posting birdies on ten, 12, and 15 over the final nine holes. The 69 is his lowest score over 18 holes in his three-year career at Wabash and is the best round by a Little Giant player since former teammate Brayden Weiss carded a 67 last year. Bledsoe is tied with Denison's Jack Yurosek. The duo hold a one-shot lead over Kenyon's Jonathan Oakes and Jaidan Koonar and Wittenberg's Mikey Shutte, all tied for third place with scores of 70.

Senior Matthew Lesniak is tied for sixth place after scoring a 71 to finish one-under par for the day. He picked up five birdies for the best-scoring round of his career. Fellow senior Lewis Dellinger fired a one-over 73 to tie for 14th place out of 40 golfers competing in the tournament. He started the day with birdies on three of the first five holes and scored five for the round to tie for his best career score over 18 holes.

Sophomore Liam McAllister finished in a tie for 20th place after 18 holes with a score of 75. He carded birdies on two holes on each side to finish with the best score of his career. Freshman Lane Notter is tied for 25th place after shooting a round of 76 on the tournament's opening day. He picked up a birdie on the final hole of the day to match his low season score.
