LEXINGTON, Ky. — Wabash College freshman Leo Dellinger made an impressive collegiate golf debut by tying for second place at the 2025 Transylvania University Fall Classic, leading the Little Giants to a ninth-place team finish at the University Club of Kentucky.
Dellinger entered Sunday's final round tied for 15th after opening with rounds of 75 and 71. He climbed the leaderboard by firing a two-under-par 70 in the closing round, highlighted by four birdies on the par-five holes. His three-round total of 216 put him six strokes behind medalist Watcharakan Chankarn, who finished at 210.
Senior Sean Bledsoe tied for 32nd overall with a 225 (73-72-80). Sophomore Liam McAllister tied for 26th with a 223 (72-75-76). Sophomore Coen Bauschek tied for 72nd (75-76-85=236), and junior Lucas Ranard tied for 87th (81-80-84=245).
Wabash slipped two spots in the team standings to finish ninth overall with a score of 907 (304-293-310). Host Transylvania rallied to capture the team title with a total of 870, edging McDaniel by three strokes.
The Wabash "B" team claimed the Wildcat Course title with a three-round score of 925 (315-306-304). Sophomore Alex Schenkel led the group by placing third with a 226 (80-73-72), while freshman Charlie Seaburg joined him on the all-tournament team with a fourth-place finish at 227 (77-78-72).
The Little Giants return to action Sept. 13-14 at the Forest Hills Invitational hosted by Earlham College.
