Wabash College junior goalkeeper Colin Krekeler earned the first all-conference honor of his career after being named to the 2026 All-North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Third Team.
Krekeler started all 17 games in goal for the Little Giants, ranking second among all NCAC goalkeepers in saves per game with a season average of 13.38. He finished the year with 227 saves, a .524 save percentage, and a 12.16 goals-against average while facing 743 shots over 1,016 minutes and 50 seconds in goal.
Krekeler raised his production in conference play, averaging 14.63 saves per game against NCAC opponents. He made 117 saves in eight conference starts with a .504 save percentage while facing 404 shots.
His top performance of the season came in a non-conference home game against Illinois Wesleyan University, when he recorded a season-high 20 saves. Krekeler made 18 saves in NCAC contests at Kenyon College and at home against the College of Wooster. He added 17 saves in the season finale at Oberlin College.
Krekeler played a key role in Wabash's 8-7 conference road victory at Wittenberg University on April 14, stopping 16 shots and posting a .696 save percentage. The win ended a six-game losing streak for the Little Giants.
Krekeler opened the season with 12 saves and a .750 save percentage in Wabash's 14-4 victory over Hanover College. He added 13 saves against Muskingum University and Kalamazoo College, 16 against Hope College, 15 at John Carroll University, and 14 against Denison University.
In addition to his goalkeeping totals, Krekeler finished with 54 ground balls, ranking among Wabash's team leaders. He averaged 3.2 ground balls per game and added one caused turnover.
Krekeler finished the season with 17 starts and more than 1,000 minutes in the cage. Wabash finished 3-14 overall and 1-7 in NCAC play.
