Tennis Scores Sixth Win with 8-1 Victory over IWU

Wabash claimed victories in eight of the nine matches in Tuesday' nights competition against Illinois Wesleyan for a 8-1 win.

The Little Giants swept doubles play. Peter Gunderman and Wade Miller combined for an 8-4 victory in the first doubles flight. Daniel Delgado and Nate Koelper were 8-5 winners at number-two doubles. Evan Bayless and Ian Leonard scored an 8-1 victory in the third flight.

Miller won in straight sets (6-4, 6-4) at number one singles. Gunderman also won by scores of 6-4, 6-4 at number three singles. Leonard improved to 8-0 at number four singles for the season with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. Koelper closed out the match with a 6-0, 6-3 win at number five singles. Phil Kubisz started singles play with a 6-1, 6-3 victory in the sixth flight.

Wabash improved to 6-2 for the season with the team victory. The Little Giants return to action on Wednesday, February 29 with a home match against in-state rival Earlham College at 5 p.m.
